MAP EDITOR
 
 
The Tanarus Map Editor software allows you to design your own arenas for Tanarus. The Map Editor software is not covered by Tanarus technical support, however, we've provided some documentation here. If you would like to submit a map for possible inclusion online, please email your map to Team Tanarus with the subject TANARUS MAP.

Tanarus Map Editor - 609KB

Latest version of the complete Tanarus Map Editor. Please be sure to also download the Tanarus Cityset Texture Set below.

Tanarus Cityset Texture Set - 2,148KB

 Download the above Map Editor package and this Cityset Texture package. Create a directory and unzip these files into it along with their directory structures (on the command line, include the -d option). You can find the map editor manual here. The Map Editor is not covered by Tanarus Technical Support.

MapEdit.exe Patch version 0.6.10 - 350KB

 This is the older version of the MapEdit.exe file. Download this file if you are having trouble running the map editor on Windows 98. Unzip the archive to the directory where your map editor resides. Answer "yes" when asked if you wish to replace the existing MapEdit.exe file. Be sure to backup your map files.

MapEdit.exe Patch version 1.2.34 - 364KB, 3/19/98

 This is the latest version of the MapEdit.exe file. Grab this file if you're using an older version of the Tanarus Map Editor (such as the one found on the CD version of Tanarus). Unzip the archive to the directory where your map editor resides. Answer "yes" when asked if you wish to replace the existing MapEdit.exe file.
