![]() 1. In order to participate in any Tanarus League Events players will need to be paying customers. Shareware players will not be eligible to participate in any League Events, and will not be eligible for team prizes. 2. A form will be posted to the Tanarus website for league sign-ups. Team captains will be responsible for submitting their personal and team information to Verant to be included in the upcoming league events. The Captains can re-submit any time until the cut-off date any changes in roster, or arena preference. The Captains will be responsible for including a preferred arena (this will be considered the "Home" field), and all primary handles for the team members they want to be eligible for League play. Only those teams and rosters submitted to Verant by the cut-off date will be allowed to play in league matches. Players that change their handles partway through league events will become ineligible for further matches so it is recommended that the players not rename. 3. Battle Ops, or special "League Ops" will be present at all scheduled events to help manage the games to make sure they go off in accordance with these posted rules and regulations. The Ops will have a list of all members of the teams participating that are eligible to play, and will remove any player from a match that is not eligible to play. Ops will also have the ability to remove abusive players from matches, and/or chat areas if they deem it necessary. Ops may at times join an arena during a match to monitor the status of players, but will do their utmost to stay out of the action. Please do not attack Ops that are in games (no matter how much the urge strikes you. We’ll be an easy target, and most likely unshielded). Ops are considered a legitimate obstacle and may not be considered interference in any way. They will do their best to stay out of gameplay. 4. The matches will be randomly scheduled based on the number of available Ops, and Arenas, and the number of teams that sign up for the event. Schedules will be posted at the web site at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the first round of competition. All schedules are final, and will not be changed after they have been posted. Matches will begin within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and will be 30 minutes in length. If neither team has at least one representative present at the scheduled time, then both teams forfeit. Teams that are unable to field a full team at the scheduled time will have the option of either forfeiting the match, or starting the match short-handed. 5. Due to the inherent instability of the Internet, lag outs, and latency cannot totally be taken into consideration for league events. Verant will do it’s utmost to make the League events as lag free, and enjoyable as possible. To this end, Ops may be present at random intervals during matches to check for excessively lagged players, or conditions. Players that are excessively lagged (800+ ping) and using it to their advantage may be removed from the arena by the LeagueOp and replaced with a substitute of the captain’s choice. Players that drop out of the arena due to lag, ISP problems, or system problems will be allowed to reconnect to the server and rejoin their teammates for the duration of the match. Substitutions can be made for players that are unable to reconnect at any time during the match. Teams that start matches shorthanded can be supplemented by eligible teammates at any time during the duration of the match. 6. Players may only be a member of a single team participating in Leagues.. 7. Team captains will be emailed a copy of the schedule for his/her team, as well as the list of players that were submitted as eligible for play at around the same time the schedule will be posted to the Tanarus website.
Will consist of up to 30 teams. The league will be divided into 3 divisions. Each team will choose a designated home arena. They will choose from a list of 5 pre-selected arena. New arenas will be designed specifically for league play Each Team will submit a list designating the team captain and all the players. Once this list is submitted the team will be locked from any further additions. Players participating in each match will be chosen by the Captains. All communications between teams and Verant will be through the Team Captains. All matches will be held on Saturdays between 12 noon and 6 PM PST. ( 2000 to 0200 GMT) No exceptions will be made. The league will be designed like a BasketBall/BaseBall season. There will be a regular season schedule, a playoff schedule and finally a Championship series. Based on the number of teams participating in the league, a given percentage will be allowed in the playoffs. Finally the top 2 teams will battle it out with the best of 5 series.
We would like to incorporate a specialized scoring system for league play. The following is a summary of the point system: - Kill +10 points - Death from a Tank - 5 points - Death from Sat/Recon gun -10 points - Recon Capture + 5 points - Flag Capture +50 points and +5 points per tank - Held Recon: at conclusion of battle +10 points - Death by falling -10 points and +5 points to opposition - Team Kill -15 points - Death by own mine or self -15 points - Death by team mine -5 points and +5 points to opposition - Zero Deaths during match +50 points - Zero Kills during match -50 points - Most points by player during match designates MVP - MVP for player with most points made during Leagues at end of League play
Paying players only. No shareware or privileged accounts.
Maximum 10 players per team. This means 5 1st string players eligible for prizes and 5 substitutes, not eligible for prizes. Players may not rename during the league season. Only names submitted will be allowed to participate in Leagues.
All communications between Verant and Captain only. Captain may retire and be replaced during Leagues if approved by Verant. Responsible for signup. Choose "home" arena. Appoints 1st string and substitutes. A substitute may take the place of any 1st stringer at any time during Leagues. Assigns in game substitutions
Control all events. Kick non-players, or abusive players. Check for lagged players. In arenas ok, stay out of the way but if not possible no excuses for lost kills/points Query players for equipment, and lag cheats. Players with a constant ping over 800ms will be removed until the problem can be corrected. Kick bug abusers. When a LeagueOp enters the arena he/she will type %league and all tanks entering the arena will be frozen until the bop types %start which will start the 30 minute countdown. At the end of 30 minutes everyone gets booted and the bop then does a #getlog.
Substitutions ok at any time. Start matches shorthanded eligible members can join any time. Lagged out players can be replaced or removed at any time. Only players on the list will be allowed to play
Schedules will not be changed. Determined randomly based on number of teams that enter. The league will require a separate point / stat system from the regular game. A team going into a league match is essentially pointless upon entering. At the end of the match the accumulated points will be recorded at the web site and each teams standing updated. Individual player stats should be recorded at a location on the web page also. These League stats are separate from regular stats and do not add to their regular scores but only show the players performance during league matches. Stats will follow regular game stats with the addition of MVP.
